Slovenian development company, with a brand established in 2015, specialized in the research, cultivation, processing, analysis, and product development of industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) and other medicinal plants for companies, beekeepers, and end consumers. The company combines scientific research expertise, own cultivation, own laboratory, own development, and own production, allowing complete quality control from the plant to the final product.

A unique feature of our company is that we carry out most of the key processes in-house – from plant cultivation, recipe development, extraction, laboratory analysis, and quality control, to the development of final products. This approach ensures traceability, high quality, and the ability to quickly develop new solutions. We also cooperate with other companies in the development of new products, optimization of production processes, and laboratory analysis of plant extracts.
Research Expertise
The company is built on more than twenty years of the founder's research experience in the fields of medicinal plants, biotechnology, and analytical chemistry.
The company's founder, Dr. Borut Gosar, was employed as a young researcher at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana between 2005 and 2010, where he researched:
- medicinal plants,
- analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPLC, GC...),
- in vitro immunological tests,
In 2010, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled: »The influence of technological factors on the quality and cultivation possibilities of purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea L.)«
In its research work, the company regularly cooperates with researchers from the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana and monitors the latest scientific findings in the field of industrial hemp, cannabinoids, and medicinal plants. We are particularly proud that the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana selected DR. GOSAR d.o.o. as one of the locations for student field trips, where we present our research work, laboratory procedures, and product development from industrial hemp.
