CBD Dosage

Author: dr. Borut Gosar, PhD in Biotechnology · Updated May 29, 2026

When it comes to hemp products, there is no single dose that fits everyone. Sensitivity is individual and depends on the type of product, its strength, and the individual. Below are general, responsible guidelines for use.

General Rule: Start Low, Adjust Slowly

We recommend starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing it as needed based on how you feel. Always follow the instructions on the packaging of each individual product.

How to Use the Drops

Drops can be placed under the tongue (sublingual use) and held for 1–2 minutes before swallowing. They can also be ingested directly. In this case, the effect is generally the same, but it may appear a bit later, typically with a delay of about one hour. You can also add the drops to cold or lukewarm drinks and food. The included dropper bottle allows for easy and precise dosing. In the descriptions of individual products, we also state the approximate number of drops per bottle, which makes planning your usage easier (e.g., 5% Organic CBD Drops – approx. 560 drops per bottle).

When to Take

For most people, it is recommended to take CBD drops in the evening, before going to bed. For the best experience, use them regularly and consistently for several days, as this will make it easier to evaluate how the product affects your well-being and what dosage suits you best. If you are using the drops for the first time, start with a lower dose and gradually adjust it as needed.

How Strength Affects the Dose

With drops that have a higher concentration (e.g., 7% Organic CBD), you need fewer drops for the same cannabinoid intake compared to drops with a lower concentration (e.g., 5% Organic CBD). Higher strength thus allows for simpler and more convenient dosing. When choosing a product, however, it is not only the CBD content that matters, but also the content of other cannabinoids, especially THC. For a consistent user experience, it is crucial that the ratio and concentration of cannabinoids remain as identical as possible across all product batches. Only in this way can you expect comparable effects and easily adjust your dosage over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take too much?

As long as you follow the instructions, you cannot take too much. Consuming too many cannabinoids can cause temporary discomfort, but it does not cause long-term negative effects. In case of uncertainty, if you are taking medication, or during pregnancy, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

How long does it take to notice the effect?

This is very individual and depends on the person, the method of use, and the dose. Once you find the dose that works for you, the effects can usually be noticed shortly after use. We recommend using the drops regularly and consistently for at least a few days while monitoring how you feel. This will help you determine what dose suits you best and how your body responds to the product.

Can I combine drops and ointment?

Yes – the ointment is used on the skin, while the drops are meant for ingestion.
